Well no siting in NY, since people started posting the article, I started to contact various book stores and game stores all of them still have the April edition. I am figuring that those that got there edition had some type of subcription they normally get the editions earlier then everyone else.

It's been stated that the May edition will not hit store shelves until April 3, so this is all premature.

You won't see magazines in stores before their official release date. Even if the book store *has* the magazine in stock today, they won't put it on the shelves now because they're still trying to sell the previous issue.

Wrong! Barnes and Noble has them on the shelf. I bought 1 today in Virginia.
...and I sold the pet a few hours ago for 100k + 30e. I like the pet, but I'll wait and buy it back for 10-20k in a couple of months.

Barnes and Noble here in Iowa still has the April issue on the shelf. Wish they had the May issue, or I'd be all over it.

The magazines are in the back at most retailers. If you know employees you could wiggle one out of them most likely.
They just aren't supposed to put them out yet.
I noticed Wal-mart tends to not follow rules and puts stuff out early.. so I"d check your local wal-marts.

If B&N actually has the May issue on the shelf they're facing a hefty fine for doing so. Stores can't just put mags on the shelf whenever they feel like it. It's tantamount to Best Buy putting a DVD out for sale early: major fines and huge trouble.

Indeed, stores could be fined if caught doing this. But most stores get away with it anyways. I have seen Best Buy put DVDs out early.

I don't think magazines have street dates like movies and music do. I know video games don't have street dates. If they don't, they can put it out as soon as they get them in stock.

At the bookstore I used to work at, I found out that mags do, indeed, have a "street date". Of course, not every store follows this, as my local B&N doesn't. Just got back from shopping, and picked it up in the local store. They'd stocked it so the back cover was facing, which threw me off a bit, but I got it.
NorCal, in case anyone was wondering.

I'll probably drive to a couple places tomorrow and see if I can find it. I'm really more interested in the Hellgate article since I already know all the GW sutff.
